Introducing Our Guest Teacher Erika Saucillo
Erika Saucillo was born and raised in Los Angeles, California with a passion for dance that started at a very young age. At the age of four, she started dance training in Ballet Folklorico and continued for fifteen years. She later ventured out to train in different genres of dances such as: jazz, heels, contemporary, hip hop, salsa, bachata, afro, and Latin ballroom.
The Latin Dance Community stole her heart and decided to become a professional Latin Dancer.
Within the 10 years of her dance career, she traveled all over the world to perform and teach in places such as: Africa, Hawaii, Japan, New York, Cuba, Mexico, Las Vegas, and many different cities throughout the United States.
She Became a champion and top finalist at some of the world's most important Latin dance competitions. She won 3rd place at the World Latin Dance Cup Cha Cha Cha division, 2nd in the Top Female Bachata Social Dancer, and won first place at the 2016 LA top Female Salsa Social Dancer.
Erika and her husband, Edwin Rivera, because the first salsa dancers to work with “Fania Records” to present an instructional dance series called, “We Love To See You Dance” on youtube.
She trained with "Alma Latina Los Angeles" , Junior & Emily, Kati Hernandez, Brin Nicole, Aisha, and many more.
Her passion for growth and reaching new levels will never end has she continues to train physically, mentally, and spiritually, with a mission to make her students see their true beauty, strength to shine their light, and embody the confidence they were meant to have.
She knows dance is more than 123-567 and is using her gift to empower kings and queens to straighten their crown and strut in their royalty.

Get To Participate In Our Photo + Videoshoot With LeRae!
LeRae has been photographing women since 2019. Her warm, bubbly energy has every woman relaxed, feeling confident and true to who they are.
LeRae brings out every woman’s unique energy from their personal journey and captures it beautifully through her lens.
She has photographed over 100 women at multiple self-love and empowerment events. She has also danced with Saskatoon Salsa for over 15 years, her love for dance elevates her creativity and ability to leave women feeling empowered in their own skin.
Each dancer gets 3-5 edited photos PLUS a digital copy of all the group photos and a special concept video of the group dancing our bachata routine with Kimberly
FAQ
Who can take part in the course?
For the VIP option, we recommend that you know the bachata basics and/or have taken previous dance classes in any style. For the online option, anyone is open to join!
Where are the in person classes held?
They will be held at Saskatoon Salsa Dance Co. Location will be sent prior to the class starting.
What should I wear during the class?
You can wear whatever you are comfortable dancing in! We recommend yoga or workout style clothing. You can wear bare feet, sock feet, flats, or salsa heels.
What does the Photo/Video Shoot Entail?
Our photographer and Videographer is LeRae Shawn Photography. She is AMAZING and will make you feel very supported and comfortable during the photo and a video shoot. The video shoot is done as a group. We will do 3-4 takes of our routine at different angles. Then the photo shoot will be part as a group and each person will get some individual photos. Each registrant will then receive 3-5 professionally edited photos delivered over email by June 19th, 2023. Group photos and the video will be released onto YouTube and Facebook by June 30th, 2023.
What do I wear to the photo and video shoot?
Please wear your favourite red top and jeans or leggings OR you can also wear a red dress. You can wear flat shoes or heels - completely up to you! You can bring a change of top/dress for the photo shoot.
What is the location of the photo shoot?
The photo shoot will be held in Saskatoon. The location will be revealed in early May.
What do I need to participate in the online classes?
We recommend having a few feet of space to dance freely in. Hard flooring is best. You need a laptop or tablet and we recommend a good wifi connection or plugging in directly to the internet
Do I need existing dance skills to pull this off?
We recommend some prior dance experience to take part in the VIP option. For online only, all levels are welcome.
I don't have a lot of space to dance in, will taking the online classes still be possible?
We recommend that you have a small area where you can move freely in. Hardwood, vinyl, or any kind of hard surface flooring is also ideal but can be done without it.
I have no rhythm!
This course will teach you musicality but the main purpose is to get you moving, having fun, and enjoying yourself through dance!
Do I have to have a certain physique to do this?
No. We firmly believe that dancing is for every BODY.
Will I benefit from this if I have experience?
Yes. There are many bonus components to benefit from on top of solidifying your bachata technique.
Can I get feedback on my progress?
You can receive personal feedback at the end of classes if need be. VIP clients will have What's App support and can post their questions and videos in the chat for feedback.
How do I access the online classes?
We will send you the zoom link information after you register
Do I have to have my camera on during online class?
No, this is optional!
